The New Haven Road Race is a nonprofit organization registered with the State of Connecticut. Surplus funds are distributed to charities which benefit people in the New Haven area.

The New Haven Road Race and its participants have returned over $300,000 to the community.

For the 2013 Race, the Stratton Faxon New Haven Road Race is partnered with the following 501c(3) charities: Cindy Lynn Sherwin Memorial Foundation, Team in Training, New Haven Home Recovery, New Haven Legal Assistance Association, United Way or the PKD Foundation. Runners who contributed or raised $250 or more for these charities are invited to run the race without additional charge. For more information, click on the charity name.
