CHARITY

The New Haven Road Race is a nonprofit organization registered with the State of Connecticut. Surplus funds are distributed to charities which benefit people in the New Haven area.

Donations in 2008 were given to the following charities:

New Haven Register Fresh Air Fund
Farnam Neighborhood House
New Haven Age Group Track Program
Leeway
Archway
American Warriors, 103rd Consolidated Mess Fund
Life Haven
LEAP
Footbridge, Stars
Ring One Boxing
The Cove
Tommy Fund
Shriner's Clowns
First & Summerfield United Methodist Church Inside at Night Program
Trinity Church
PDK Foundation

The New Haven Road Race and its participants have returned over $300,000 to the community.

For the 2008 Race, the Stratton Faxon New Haven Road Race partnered with the following 501c(3) charities:   Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, Cindy Lynn Sherwin Memorial Foundation and The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Team in Training.  Runners who contributed or raised $100 or more for these charities were invited to run the race without additional charge.
